Avion Court, Crawley

Avion Court Avion Court is a brand new development made up of 137 contemporary residential units and located in Crawley with close proximity to Gatwick Airport.

This former 1970s office tower has undergone an extensive transformation and benefits from secured on-site parking, concierge service, bike storage and improved landscaping. The property will include a shared amenity space with the aim of giving enjoyable social spaces and enhanced facilities for the residents.

The site is within walking distance to Crawley Town shopping centre and with excellent connections to local overground and bus services. The development is well positioned opposite the Crawley Leisure Park on London road, which features a multi-screen cinema, a health club, a bowling alley and several restaurants. Avion Court forms part of Interland Group’s Private Rental offering and is due for completion in late Spring 2020.

Frameclad designed the SFS to sit outside of the building line using an oversail – continuous walling system. By using specialised bracket system the inconsistencies in the existing façade were overcome to provide a true building line to receive subsequent façade treatments.

Case Studies

Canterbury Road

Frameclad manufactured all of the internal/external frames for these two interlinked block five-storey residential development. Floors were constructed from lattice joists and also balcony cassettes were supplied to sit inside a hot rolled frame. Access was limited and due to the busy site location deliveries had to be carefully coordinated and time slots hit.

Think On Top Of The Box

Located in a coastal location, this was a conversion of an existing 3 storey concrete frame building into 9 townhouses. Frameclad provided the SFS infill to form new external walls to the existing levels then added a self-supporting top floor with SFS to give additional floor space to the scheme. Due to the restrictive nature of the site and the need to keep the new loadings of the upper floor to a minimum, SFS was the ideal solution for the developer.
